So I don’t know about you but my way of relaxing is doing laundry, yeah I know it’s weird. But I actually really LOVE doing laundry. I makes me happy, there is something about it. Not sure why, but I just love doing laundry. So you can imagine my frustration when my trusty washer started leaking, it totally disrupted my zen moments, being that I have to be so careful since it is pouring water out of the drum. The poor machine is 13 years old, but it did me good, until now! So now, we are finally getting an upgrade. Though I did try to make it last, I even put a peepee pad under the machine to catch all the water so I could still do laundry while we tried to find our perfect replacement. Well I am happy to tell you we found our replacement and I couldn’t be more excited!
After much consideration, and MUCH RESEARCH, we finally decided on sticking with the brand that has been good to us for the past 13 years! MAYTAG! So we are getting the Maytag Maximas and our laundry room is getting a serious upgrade and I will be back to doing what I love, LAUNDRY, in no time.
And I am certainly enjoying the new features the new machines have to offer. I am not going to lie, at first I was a little intimidated because there were so many bells and whistles. But I quickly became OBSESSED with the FRESH HOLD button, it does the most amazing thing, it actually which is an option you can select that will activate a fan inside the washer after the load in done that will keep clean clothes smelling fresh if you can get it to the dryer right away… which I pretty much use every day. I love doing Laundry loads at night so this is perfect for me.
And being that I have a little BOY I am pretty sure that I will soon be using the PowerWash Cycle for my dirtiest, toughest loads which I’m know I will get a lot of use out of. Also although Kenz loves to wear her dresses, don’t be fooled, this girl loves to play in the dirt with the boys.
AND the best feature of all is the automatic detergent dispenser, I mean BRILLIANT! It dispenses the proper amount of detergent for your load and being that most people use too much detergent, (I KNOW THIS IS ME) and it tends to fade your clothes and even cause the cotton to break down and begin to get holes. SO I am super stoked to now not have to worry about it and I don’t know about you, but I always seem to make a mess too. SO now I am mess free and my cotton is safe!
If only I could get into Yoga, I just would rather do laundry and clean the house! So needless to say, if I have a stressful day, you can find me in my laundry room. Though because the machines are so big, I am doing less loads. Which means, this is one happy mommy. And feel free to send me some laundry when I am stressed. Just kidding.

I LOVE my Maytag Maximas! It was our dryer that took a big poop and wasn’t fixable for less than it cost to buy it. We got the old style umbrella clothesline that we used for everything from clothes to diapers (I STILL hang my cloth diapers on it to dry and sun!) until I could find that perfect set! And this was it 😁. My 65 year old mother who lives with us isn’t so fond of them because she can’t figure out what load to use for what, and all the extra choices that were never an option before, so thankfully they’re bigger than we had so we can double up on laundry and her not have to feel bad about me doing her laundry 😂. The fresh load feature is my fave thing too until it’s been 18 hours and I realized I never dried the clothes (the fan shuts off after 12 hours 😶). I grew up in the 7th heaven era and my very conservative hated sitcoms grandma couldn’t wait for me to tell her it was about to come on because she loved the show! I frequently can be found turning off the cable box and loading in a 7th Heaven disc so I can walk out of the room and not have to worry about what my precocious but sponge brain 5 year old daughter will hear 💜 Love to you!
